St. Rita's Catholic Church, Ndakwo Abuja
Privacy Policy
St. Rita's Catholic Church, Ndakwo Abuja collects only the information needed to process donations, issue receipts or invoices, respond to enquiries, and share parish updates. Donation and payment details are handled securely. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, donation amount and purpose, payment reference, a payment-proof image or PDF for website bank transfers, dedication message, newsletter subscription, and the information you include in a contact enquiry.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to record and confirm donations, review payment proofs and bank transfers, issue donation receipts and invoices, respond to enquiries, maintain parish records, prevent misuse, and send parish updates to people who subscribe. We do not sell or rent personal information.
3. Public Benefactor Recognition
For transparent parish reporting, newly confirmed website and administrator-recorded gifts are included automatically on the public Benefactor Roll. Depending on Parish settings, an entry may show the submitted name, confirmed amount, project, month and year, and a separate recognition ID. Selecting "Anonymous Benefactor" always prevents the submitted name from appearing. When public names are disabled globally, named entries use "St. Rita Supporter." Public entries may be indexed by search engines.
Email addresses, phone numbers, private payment references, transaction details, payment proofs, private dedication messages, and administrator notes are never displayed on the Benefactor Roll. Historical gifts retain the privacy and publication choices made under the earlier consent workflow. You may contact the Parish to request a correction or withdrawal where appropriate.
4. Payment Security
Online payments may be processed by Paystack or Flutterwave when those methods are enabled. Card and bank-login details are entered on the payment provider's secure interface and are not stored by this website. Manual-transfer proofs are required for website transfer records, stored privately, and available only to authenticated parish administrators for payment review.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for parish administration, financial records, legal obligations, dispute handling, and the purposes described in this policy.
6. Security and Access
Administrative pages are restricted to authenticated parish administrators. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion where appropriate, or stop newsletter messages by contacting the Parish. Some financial records may need to be retained for legal or administrative reasons.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when parish practices, website features, or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page.
